yeah, basically you wont be doing as much DPS as a warrior, but should have more survivability. lifetap + oracle charm + shield (minor) + hate spells makes you pretty formidable.
just gotta spam the spell on pulls a few seconds and you'll be good as any warrior

Had I known how paladins and SKs are in the game, I would've played an SK.

The self-heals they blast off are just insane, compared to my cheap-ass epic 3.0 proc.

I'm pretty new to the game, but I own a 70 warrior and a 70 SK. They both have RoA 100 and epic 3.0.. the SK seems to be doing much more dps single target than the warrior.. I'm not sure this is what you consider end game though.. should I expect more dps from my warrior? It's also packed with best Ldon and some qvic gear.

Once warrior has his anger augs he'll be much higher DPS than your SK. also, warriors normally claim all the HP aug components in PoD+ but if you're killing stuff on your own then i guess they go to whoever you want them to.

I was thinking about the tank for my multibox setup, and it seems like maybe the SK is the better pick.  Since he can put up more hate with dots and voice on the pull, and has a snare, it looks like he might be the better pull and forget tank when you have to spend the rest of the fight tabbing to the healers and casters.

Sounds like its just as good as a warrior as far as staying alive goes?  What is everyone else's thoughts on the SK vs the warrior as a multibox tank?

I would say if you are boxing DPS yourself and its not an issue, than SK >Warrior.

They can lifetap proc, with high oracle charm + focus of healing (or an elite Sk with Ultimate Charm) = less healing/ no healing. this comes with the price of DPS though. So if you have the firepower i would say go SK

Do SKs get any form of AE taunt? For boxing I'd imagine that would be fairly important.

I have a 3.0 SK and 3.0 cleric and am rolling a war because the SK can't hold aggro while I'm on the cleric, I love the SK, but he's not optimal for boxing. Cleric gets pwned by boss adds if I switch to heal, ie when I stop spamminf aoe taunt.

kaos, you're saying that warrior auto attack while you box holds more agro than SK?

Does the warrior AE agro need to be spammed as well?

The warrior 3.0 with anger augs is the nuts for AOE taunt. The up side to the warrior is that I can send him in, generate some aggro and pretty much trust his AOE taunt to grab 90% of any adds that spawn. He also gets a pimp disc that makes kicks his survivability through the roof. My current thought is that either the tank has to have an automatic AOE taunt so I can man the cleric or the cleric needs to be automatic heals (which haven't figured out how to do yet).

That said, I would much rather be sitting on the SK than the Cleric, but I can't see how I can do that. A perfect situation would be to be able to cast AOE heal and get back to the SK before the cleric gets aggro, but I'm having trouble making that happen in qvic. I box a 2.5 necro with the 3.0 SK/Cleric combo and the Cleric gets his face ripped off so often it makes it impossible to box. I think the warrior will make my life much easier.

under the Jolt category of spells when right clicking on spell gems (right click, detrimental, jolt) there are 2 spells. an AoE and a single target. they both raise hate by like 125000, making it nearly impossible to lose aggro to your cleric. i never had to worry about it, especially if i spam it.
