I am considering making content higher than Titanium both for weapon graphics and available zones.

Which client is everyone using?

Someone gave me info how to allow any weapon graphic in Titanium Client from Underfoot/HoT Clients. I won't be able to host the files, but I could make a guide how to do it if a player was able to obtain the files by themselves if they still want to use Titanium.

Of course new zones would require a later expansion pack client, which I might start doing for T7+ as well as make an alternate set of zones for level 1-70 for players to level up in.

Keep in mind that Underfoot and House of Thule are the same thing as far as the download from Steam is concerned.  From a server standpoint they are both Underfoot.

Then why are they both listed on steam to buy?

I do see that they are 6,425.7 MB for download.

Are we, or they, some how mistaken? It really is the same?

Seems the total size of SoD is bigger than Underfoot, any ideas?

They are the same download, and then when you log into live they are patched.  The difference between buying them is the number of expansions you are given access to on live.

It is likely that both downloads will be replaced when the new expansion comes out.

SoD is a different download, so it would have a different size.  Underfoot is missing a fair number of zones when you download it that must be replaced from another source where SoD isn't, so perhaps that is the difference in size.

For emu, don't patch underfoot or HoT, right? Just add additional zones from somewhere?

I'll do more reading on EQEmu too.

I'm on Titanium client because I have physical media that I purchased.

Does a purchase from steam allow you to make a set of physical CD's?

Hunter, check out the #cvs command if you haven't already.  That will give you much better results than a poll on the forums Smiley

I use that command a lot and on my server and normally see about 95% SoD+ clients.  Yours is probably much lower due to big boxers and no content over Titanium.

Thanks Trevius. Yeah, seems we are about 3/4 on Titanium and about 1/4 worth of SoD/UF

I hope that does not mean this is a no go. Would be really nice to see some new zones and would provide incentive for others to migrate over without penalizing them for not.

Seen this post yesterday morn.  Ive have Titanium and SoD.  Been using Titanium the entire time but after reading the post I loaded SoD finally.  Didnt do it before I guess cause I was lazy and didnt wanna set up all the in game macros, find a new version on MQ for the /stick, etc.  After setting up SoD though I found it to be MUCH better when playing on EZ.  The zone times are cut in HALF in HoH and PoD.  Considering im just a casual player and not pimped out with my gear that can mean mean a LOT in a wipe/recovery situiation.  Getting the tank/healer back in there faster just makes a world of a difference.

That being said I personally would like to see more zones open up. (especially something for just a casual player, selfish I know)  I have been playing for about 3 years on here and still have not got any 4.0's.  Just no time to play with 3 kids and my wife working a different shift than me.

Anyway back to the post...  doing this would frustrate a lot of people but it would also open up a lot more for the community on the server.

It might be a good time to start pushing people to switch from Titanium to SOD. Its a much better client anyways, much more stable. I would never go back to Titanium after making the move. People are probably just being lazy and/or dont think there is any noticeable difference between the clients. Once they try it, I bet they would be happy they switched also.
