We now have a VM (Virtual Machine) for running a test server so testing updates can be done without having to constantly rebooting the EZ Live Server. For the most part reboots will now remain at the scheduled 6am eastern time as usual. I'll be able to do the edits on our test server while everyone enjoys no down time on the live server.

I've successfully set up a Virtual Machine of Windows 7 32-bit and installed EQEMU Server on it with a fresh copy of the EZ Server source code, database, and quest files, etc. And I've logged in successfully too. So now I have 1 Window with the Test Server in the VM Environment and 1 Window for my Underfoot Client (outside of the VM Window) that is logged into the Test Server (on the VM window).

Been up now for about 26+ hours and can finally get some rest soon knowing mission accomplished.

It is getting lonely on my test server since I have it locked for GM only to log in. I can't open it up though, not enough bandwidth where I live for everyone else to log in.

At least now I can test new items and spells faster, rebooted every few minutes to test each edit, without having to bring out the EZ Live server when people are raiding.

I don't even know what time I went to bed lol, only that I was awake at least 27+ hours before finally laying down.

I was able to stay up like that until I hit 30, now if I stay up that long my heart literally hurts Smiley
