Is there any know way to use the Bards weapon within a twist? The MQ2 documentation for the twist is lacking.

Use 10 as the twist number, thats the bards primary hand. 11 is secondary.

Figured it out.

Just for the record, this needs to be configured in the ini. twisting 10 will only do your mainhand if you configure it to do so in the ini.

[Click_10]
CastTime=4
ReCastTime=600
Name=DISABLED
Slot=13

This will basically make 10 a valid song.

So basically it would look like this:

/twist 1 2 3 10

Slot 13 is your mainhand slot according to this chart:

I know, old post, however, anyone know how to reliably have it switch weapons?  I have 4.0 x 2 on my bard and use twist to do the 3.0 click, however, without fail, after some generally short period of time, the bard ends up using the 4.0 and 3.0 with the second 4.0 in his inventory.

Perhaps an alternative, drop the mana dump on the 3.5+ and change it to a stronger version of the 3.0 clicky, having it scale up?

the 4.0 click increases mana/endurance of everyone around them (players) it's a dramatic increase- this is mainly for casters as my wizard, mage, chanter, and cleric are generally running on 40% or lower mana during extended fights. (45 seconds +)
 It also helps for my melees too cuz I burn disciplines like they're going out of style it's the only way to go! Smiley

The 3.0 click is really not that powerful. It is nice, but as far as I remember, the enchanter 4.0+ SympatheticProc effect gives a larger bonus. The Bard 5.0+ click is rough though. One Man Band is sexually delicious.

No, this will not happen. Too many of us are reliant on this click to handle fights or certain situations (myself included).

i have both my bards setup to do exactly this. He uses 2 4.0s and when it comes times to refresh the buff, he automatically puts on the 3.0, casts it and then automatically puts his 4.0 back on. ill hook you up with the macro when i get home from work. i do remember it being a complete pain in the ass to setup but when it was done, it worked flawlessly.

and as far as how strong the 3.0 epic click is..its worth about 10-15% dps and i assume you get around the same gains for HPS (since it helps heals crit as well). i havnt played in the last few months so i dont know what other alternatives that hate is speaking of for the song as i havnt looked at any new enchanter or bard epics since i started playing again

I would like to see that script as well. I still have my 3.0's but will be getting 4.0's any year now.

when i started messing around with the mq twist on my bard, i would crash every time it came time to swap in the 3.0 and cast it with the default settings. eventually i got it so that he equipped his 3.0, casted the buff but never re-equipped his 4.0. i eventually figured out that it was because of the values set for casttime, recasttime & delay that was causing problems, memories a little hazy since its been about half a year since i set this up but im fairly sure thats how things went.

anyways most i can do is post my mq2twist config and the macro which is pretty much the same thing that Mattnaik said, just gotta have the timing right in the ini or you'll likely crash

MQ2Twist_CharacterName.ini should look like this:

[MQ2Twist]
Delay=33
Quiet=0
Adjust=1
[Click_10]
CastTime=20
ReCastTime=600
Name=Blade of Vesagran Epic 3.0
Slot=offhand
[Click_11]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=Blade of Vesagran Epic 4.0
Slot=mainhand
[Click_12]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=DISABLED
Slot=DISABLED
[Click_13]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=DISABLED
Slot=DISABLED
[Click_14]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=DISABLED
Slot=DISABLED
[Click_15]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=DISABLED
Slot=DISABLED
[Click_16]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=DISABLED
Slot=DISABLED
[Click_17]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=DISABLED
Slot=DISABLED
[Click_18]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=DISABLED
Slot=DISABLED
[Click_19]
CastTime=0
ReCastTime=0
Name=DISABLED
Slot=DISABLED

after that the command /twist 10 1 2 3 should work fine. You only need click_10 for it to work, i have 4.0 under click_11 so i can use /twist 11 for mana buff as well.

HOPE THIS HELPS!

side note- use /twist # once for the extras, as it'll just use it then resume it's normal twisting.
