Ok, the story is this...

I shout camp check, and people start answering with the appropriate areas. Got my guildmates to shout some extra types, and I start singing the Captain Planet theme song.

Then, it hit me. A special tiki that you turn in ALL FOUR crystals to and spawn the T1 or T2 named of your choice. --OR-- the player who turns in the crystals spawns a random T1 or T2 boss that drops their armor type. For example, a monk turns in the crystals and if it's a T1 named, ancient spiked leather ____ will drop, and if T2, Shaolin's ____. The first kind of tiki gives you a 25% chance of getting your T1 piece, 14% for your T2 piece... the second kind has worse odds, 1/49 or about 2% chance of getting what you want specifically.

Where to place?... well, the far west side of the fire crystal turn-in and the indoor tunnel area is usually left alone, so place it somewhere in there.

Why? Too many players need T1 plate legs, and statistically, it's a 1/28 chance (provided all the named spawn with equal chance). In T2, you're looking at approximately 1/112 odds (again if chance of named are equal). This opens up a fifth tiki in an area that's almost always abandoned, lowers congestion and bottle-necking.

I'm just curious, how long is it taking people to get through t1/t2 now? Shy and i spent approx 4+ months gearing up our toons fighting almost every day there, is it taking longer than that now, or are people just in much more of a hurry. I'd think the dragon armor that drops now alone speeds things up a ton compared to the past.

well it took us in foh about 2.5-3 months of farming every day to get everyone's toons their full T2 stuff and people are still missing some accessories.  But not much faster.  The any class armor did make it faster.  I think people want it to be faster... Sad

I managed to get full T2 after about a month and a half. Mind you, I was the only paladin present so whenever any T2 piece dropped, so I basically had default privileges. My last piece were the plate legs from Ptah. Never even used a dragon armor combine.

Just because it took so long for you folks to get your gear, doesn't mean it should take everyone else the same time. You had far less competition than there is today, not to mention the debacle of LDoN 6 and charms players have to go through, as opposed to what there was in the past. Tongue

Okay, how about a third suggestion....

The tiki spawns any named, but instead of dropping armor pieces, drops Fallen accessories. It wouldn't be worth 4 crystals, however.

just cause you weren't in t2 competing with crab and all us that have moved on doesn't mean there wasn't competition.  Well I guess calling it competition is a stretch - there was only one guild that everyone seemed to hate while the rest of us were working through there.

Just don't be mistaken since 95% of the guilds who have been through and finished with T1/T2 before you are gone that we all had free rides.

I would substitute competition with cooperation really.
Shy and Crab (before joining forces) used to tell us in Epic Fail when stuff was rotting for us to grab up. Not very competitive in my book to be giving rots away. If you want to screw people over you destroy un-needed stuff =p

everyone i can think of use to give away rotting loots.  But there was plenty of loot destroying as well.  You ever wonder what would happen if a guild trained brown dragons on top of you during your first attempts at t2?  Go to another server and ask those of which have been banned.

Although I guess some of the bans have been reversed so you may not have to look far.

It's a lot easier now than it ever has been. There are a lot of /shouts of gear rotting here or there whereas there never was in anguish and rarely was when PoD first opened. I see tons of people in PoD not even in a group wandering around the zone looting rots. It seems to have become a part of progression. I have long though that we should be able to turn in pieces of the same slot armor but different pieces to get your own pieces of the same slot. For example, turn in a multi-class chain boot mold, with a multi-class cloth boot pattern, and a mult-class leather pattern for a multi-class plate boot mold. Same thing can be done with t2 only with 4 pieces of the same slot other class yielding your own class of the same slot. It would give people something to do with their rots and make it a little harder to get armor from PoD than just by coming in and scavenging rots.

seems now that you can gear all the way up to t2 without really having a good solid group much less a guild to run with.
so many rots in tacvi and PoD t1/ t2.
Qvic it depends sometimes. and thats really the stopper for people. getting the tokens to progress

There is nothing wrong with t2 as it stands where the problem is atm is T1 and  the plate drops and Ptah in particular 3/4 of the dam zone needs it i have been farming t1-t2 for awhile now been in pod for about 3 months in total and i have yet to see a pair of t1 plate legs drop the ones i have looted have been given to me.

This is not me whining or wanting a easy mode game but 3 months for 1 drop is far from easy i have put plenty of time in meaning some days 12+ hours 30+ crystals doing fire and water whatever i can.

Now i know pod has gotten easier since the dragon class molds and the double aug drops but when 3/4 of the server needs plate legs something is wrong.

I didn't intend for the suggestion to make drops faster and easier to run through PoD, it was more intended for Tibador's purpose. One dadgum piece setting a player back months is just wrong.

I didn't mean past players had it easy by having the zone to themselves and getting dibs on everything, I meant it by the constant competition of today. There are far more players crowding the zone, shutting out a chance to even turn in a crystal when groups stay there for hours at a time, just to hand it over to another guildmate. Ninjalooting, rudeness... wouldn't be surprised if it took players even longer than before to attain a full set.

Heck, if it's that important not to give players an easier ride, simple fix... make my suggested tiki spawn once per hour. Tongue

First 3 days in T1 gearing my warrior I gave away 4 plate leg pattern's to friends/guild/random people.  They drop just fine for me Tongue
