Admitidly I am not a pvp player but the pvp idea is getting out of hand. First we basicly completely change the server through unrestable spells. Then we have messed up our economy by a huge influx of cash, and now we are messing with balancing low lvls around pvp and making that harder. I love eq but it was never a pvp game. It someone wants to pvp let them there is /duel for that. Please stop changing the game to balance around an aspect that very few care about.

I can agree with the balancing around pvp (kind of sticks it to new players again), but the plat is not a big influx.  Most high end players earn significantly more in an evening grind than what drops off the OT mob.  And I don't exactly see anything broken economically on the server.

This is true, I haven't kept up with the changes to plat or w.e from pvp, last I knew it was 2mil. But that can almost be made in a full days work in HoH from plat bags and gems if you're just trying to farm plat. It isn't hurting much. However the current balancing and tweaking that is going on around this whole idea of pvp is getting a bit out of hand and hurting the people lower on the food chain.

I have listened to feed back on stuff.

There have been a few minor inconveniences that have been either reverted or reduced, such as the root resist and custom armor required level.

I don't really believe it has affected that much to the pve players what we're doing for pvp.

How much platinum does a Shield of the Ages XLV cost? How much platinum does a Strike IX cost? How many toons are logged in playing? How much platinum per day is being given out through pvp? Over all I don't think the 2 gem drops would affect much of the economy.

Possible new changes in the near future might be to limit to 1 gem drop, or make the respawn longer such as a static 8 hr rspawn. Also limiting 1 player per IP in the pvp zones, and soon as I can update some source code will be able to force bind players to Nexus that are already binded in the pvp zone. The IP and Bind code is thanks to a player submitted.

If the proc values for SK and Paladin are too harsh, then I could always put it back and limit the proc to require level 65 to proc but can still equip and attack without proc at level 1.

Also issue of players equipping pets with Epic 1.0s which was never intended but I kind of overlooked. Got to admit it is really ridiculous to have pets with epic 1.0s though, might need to update their pet code though to reject that, which has nothing to do with pvp, just what was originally intended. The very first unintended thing on our server ever was when a level 1 mage could summon a level 60 pet via Epic 1.0 but got fixed fast.

Anyways, this post is probably too long for a pvp complain thread, but thats the heads up for my plans on pvp pve.

the pvp is nice for alot of endgame players that get bored. theres not enuff money from it to make any difference in the economy of the server.the changes made that DO effect pve have made things a lil more intersting and hard to hurry up and run a grp of toons up to t3/4 or so. just cuz the name of the server is EZ dont mean everything in game has to be. i think he has done a pretty good job of catering to the wants/needs of the players on the server.people complaining about the economy.. it dont take any time at all to farm 2 mil i can make that in anguish or t7 easy. the poeple getting the 2 mil are the ones that need MILLIONS of dollars for augs SoA and other things foir there t6/t7 gears.all this has also given us the players more chances to show talent in coding and such helping hunter overcome challenges or roadblocks.in the end great job hunter i love what your doing here

1 toon per IP will make it harder on lower geared players...they can't kill it as fast giving higher geared players all the time they want to move over at their leisure.

Is it possible to determine server side the number of IPs participating in PVP in either zone?  It would be very interesting to see how many actual players have been there to try it out.

Depends on the log file for that zone and how he setup log.ini in the server root folder.
In theory yes, he can grep the log file and produce said numbers.

Its not faster than before with 5 toons, but it is faster than 1 Billion HP. Smiley

Last time I watched, I think it took about 30 minutes to kill? Gives time for people to log in and gang.

Why not have the chicken drop something?  Maybe the Chicken Littles can drop a chicken nugget food and the big guy can drop something else stupid like an egg that's an augment or chicken illusion clicky

It was originally used in a Thanksgiving Quest that I think Secrets made.

I could despawn it for now, or you could just not aggro the bird?
