Spell file 10-01-13 now available for download.

Some updates from Hateborne are now live.

There is new Roaming Gnome Task that will allow your pet to equip weapon better than Fireblade v2.

Ranger Bow Epics were modified.

Other minor spell type tweaks from Hateborne.

Regarding the ranger bow epic: maybe I am having bad luck but so far just about everything (even qvic trash) resists Trickshot's crushing defeat and almost always resists the snare.

If movement impairing immune, it will never work. The Crushing Defeat should ALWAYS work. I'll look into it. Patch notes in a bit.

Fireblade v3 is Live!
The Roaming Gnome will start appearing throughout the game with quests of consequence for those with the gall/boredom to chase after them. These rewards will be sufficiently powerful, but not mandatory for progression (translated: no handouts).

Two New Spells
  • Rugged Roots - Level 70 Root spell
  • Impeding Snare - Level 70 Snare spell

Ranger Bow Adjusted
  • Added another NS slot to bow, removed built in NS proc.
  • Replaced click effect (see below)

Ranger Click: Trickshot
  • Does damage directly 100% of the time
  • Applies Impeding Snare 25% of the time
  • Applies Trickshot's Crushing Defeat (10% white dmg taken increase) 20% of the time
  • Applies Rugged Roots 10% of the time
  • Applies Mortal Wound 1% of the time. Mortal Wound does 5mil base damage, shouldn't scale, and has a 10% chance (on triggered) to trigger again.

Threat Reduction Augments
New threat reduction augs drop will drop from bosses of all tiers. T1 bosses will drop Rank 1, T2 will drop Rank 2, etc etc. Two equal rank augs can be combined up to the next rank. Max rank is 10 (25%).

Misc
  • Tserrina's Enchanted Shadow (focus on Robe) had threat reduction halved.
  • Ancient: Vine Grasp is back to targetable AoE instead of PBAOE.
  • Unholy Shackles II saw a small fix that might have cause the snare component to have been weaker than ranks I and III.
  • Scattered adjustments to T8 spells in preparation for them being added to loot tables.

The necro has some fairly mean DoTs and the mage pet is sufficiently durable with Defensive Boon and other pet changes.

Fireblade v3 should be a decent increase, but if not (need parses), I'll fix it (with Hunter's blessing of course).

Dont know about all that, Hate, but just retested on ranger: Crushing Defeat pops 1 in 4 or 5, resisted EVERY time, even on PoTimeA mobs. Even Impeding Snare and Rugged Roots showed "Your target resisted the ____ spell" around 80% of the time.

Thats with a 5.0 epic bow vs PoTime mobs.

Noticed the ranger bow change was with type 4 augs but NS are type 8 augs, just fyi.

Cant wait to get my mage up there for the v3 blades.
