Even with 5% volume, the Thunder noise has been a headache for years. So for those who play with volume:
Search your computer for SoundAssets.. it is in your EQ folder somewhere.
just edit SoundAssets.txt and delete these 2 lines 143^thunder1.wav and 144^thunder2.wav
Ctrl+F may not find it, so scroll down to 1430s its in there.
