New Server!
For those who want to know we are now on the following specs:
  • 2,000 Mbps (2Gbps) Up/Down Datacenter connection
  • 24GB RAM
  • 3 x 15.7k SAS - RAID5
  • 2.9Ghz x 2 Xeon

Have had several reports of things all around being much more responsive. Should make for a smooth double loot weekend!

For me at least, it seems re-popping zones (especially t1) goes so much faster.  That zone always seemed to lag on me for a minute or so waiting.

The double loot weekend as a stress test for the new server environment seemed to go very well.  At the height of the population explosion I was seeing latency in the 40-45ms range, maintaining 30fps while pulling and killing ~85 mobs at a time in T7...

I never saw performance like that at the lowest population before.

Most I saw was 1 second latency drops during peak hours, very impressed w/ new server (I would have been dc'ing on old one)
