I remember pets mostly being defined by how strong of a pet focus item you had on live before I quit.   Are there focus items on ezserver, and if so, do they matter?   do they affect epic or cg clickie pets at all?  just curious what to look for.

I think Mage LDoN boots have a pet focus.

Mage LDON boots have a pet focus. Servant of Chaos.
Quick 100sec parse on dummy in chambers showed pet without focus doing 325125 dmg and then pet with focus doing 637189 then focused pet with Elemental Conjuction buff which did 653137
Nice toy to have.

As far as I know, the best pet focus is the Vermilion Batfur sash, which drops in Qvic.

Focus: Spire Servant

Slot 1: Increase Pet Power(45)
Slot 2: Limit: Max Level(70)
Slot 3: Limit: Min Level(66)

Pet focus items are broken in the emulator code.  It was never thoroughly written so all focus items give the exact same effect:  +1 level (and all accompanying stats).

There is no difference between the shitty mage focus items from Temple of Sol Ro or an Enhanced Minion X focus from SoD.

This would be interesting if it could be confirmed.

I'm a server administrator, I've confirmed it myself.  Anyone can launch a server with the latest code and just using simple GM commands can confirm it for themselves.

lol pet focus items make pets WORSE

parsed 3.5 mage pet, used some cloak from potime I think (increase power 35)

no buffs or fireswords, just straight summon and attack practice dummy (chambersb)

with focus: 6937 dps
W/O focus: 8530 dps

lol don't use focus items.. at least not that one... gonna see if I can find another one from qvic? or something

4.0 mage pet, with pet weapons, buffed with elemental fury, no other buffs, no focus = 41523 dps on the 2.0 practice dummy.

4.0 mage pet, with pet weapons, buffed with elemental fury, no other buffs, pet focus from ldon mage boots (increase pet power(40)) = 46539 dps on the 2.0 practice dummy.

Ok I did a couple more tests, with full buffs the pet does a tiny bit better summoned with the focus
(like 2-3k dps not much) but at least it's not worse..  gonna have to do more tests with 4.0 pet

well crap, dunno what to think now...

4.0 pet with fireswords, haste buff and 2.0 buff
no focus: 43k
with focus: 40k

this run I timed each fight for exactly 5 minutes.
could run it for 10 mins I guess.. but meh, even if it's 2-3k more damage, probably not bother..
