Hey guys Tankdan here, I last played 1 year ago I think, I haven't played since Hunter passed away (and a few months before that).

Thinking of returning, but one thing that turned me off was that around T7 or so, 12 boxing essentially became a requirement.  I know a lot of changes have been made since then (I have a lot of reading to do), but is that still the case now?  

Last time I played, I tried ToV Dozekar and he pushed my shit in on my 2 groups of nearly full T7 characters, so I stopped playing around that progression.

Just downloaded Steam EQ client, and it looks great.  Do i need 2 versions of this, one for my main account, and 1 for my other accounts with minimal graphic settings? Thats what I did with UF.


 I just noticed my Ultimate Weapon has no augments in it, have no clue how that works.

First, you can definitely get away with playing only one group... providing you have a up-to-date Ultimate Weapon on one character...

Guide should give examples and show you exactly how to use MQ

With the right comp and equip you can do all content with less than 6 toons.

You would be better off using a warrior with max SoA and UW, paladin and two DPS with max strikes and UC (total of 4 toons), than 18 toons with just tier appropriate armor...

Agree with everything here...

war maxed out 2dps and a paladin is going to take you pretty far...

I have a druid and zerk as well and that team of 6 is fine for slaughtering t9 all day long..


I do run a mage and chanter out of group at zone in just to summon and rebuff people as needed...

dont see any change to this group unless t10 is crazy crazy hard

ON a side note..

make a hotkey on your main toon that is ;

/bca //viewport 1 1 1 1

this will force it to not render anything other than the UI on your boxes.... massive reduction in work for your computer.... and no need for 2 clients ....

/bca //viewport reset and you are back to normal for quest turn in and stuff.....

Thats really promising, because when I played last year, I could have sworn everybody was running around with 2+ groups.  I dont know how things have changed since then that made life so much easier.  

As for my warrior, he has:

UW7, and a
Ring of Ages 230.
Shield of Ages XL

wasn't enough to kill in T8 with my groups set up when I last played a year ago, tank kept dying. 

Also, I did the Steam install, added EZ files+spells, and most links in chat are cut in half?

The Insane Goblin Familiar also makes a big difference - it's 17% mitigation... which is HUGE when you're getting closer and closer to max mitigation, effectively making it a lot more than 17%, more like 40% of remaining mitigation.

IG familiars were given away like candy during Halloween... and not even good candy... the candy you give away...

Liquorice... or milk duds...

But unfortunately for you, you can't get it now except with 250 EZ Credits


You probably don't have a druid in your crew, but that would help... at least until it gets nerfed, which it's looking like it might soon... Casts "Skin of the Drake" which effectively makes your tank invulnerable for 18 seconds
