Maximizing Bard Damage Shield - specifics

The bard damage shield can be very powerful in certain situations. I've heard several different numbers about how hard it hits, but nobody seems to know the specifics.

This thread is dedicated to answering two questions.
1. What is the max bard damage shield damage?
2. How is it achieved, specifically what items (and where are they found), AA's and songs are used to get the max damage?

Right now, with near max AA's my bard is getting around 1170 with epic 3.0 equipped and playing Psalm of Veeshan and War March of Muram.

What can I do to make it higher?

I do remember seeing a thread somewhere (perhaps on the old forums?) but it did not give specific items to wear/click. It was vague.

Please post the link if you find it. The purpose of this thread is to be more specific if possible.

Yeah, that's the one. It's really not that helpful to the purpose of this thread as it is not very specific.

What is the highest DS a bard can have??

Just get max AAs and TWO 3.0s (one in each hand) and run War March of Muram and Psalm of Veeshan and thats the best you're going to really get. If you're PLing just use War March, if you use Psalm too you'll have to wait for both to land which shortens the time they're on there thus lowering effectiveness especially since you don't need that much damage in that situation.

There. I would't ask for specific numbers. It's hard to give specific numbers with bard songs since they scale, so i wouldn't go around expecting exact digits.

Do you want total DS on the bard or on the group?
Cause you need to count in all the personal DS items and the mage/druid spell.
PL with ds I think its reasonable to see 12xx since the changes
