Is the damage portion still tied to the snare effect? As many named mobs are immune to the snare effect, often mobs who have the hp to live long enough for a few ticks are immune to it.

Gimme some mob names or tiers that this occurs, then I can investigate. :-D

This seems like the ideal place to bring this idea up...

First of all, i have no idea if it will be a coding nightmare or not.

I learned two things reading this:

1. ) Wild Arc Swing is not passive. Oops. Time to add to my hotkeys lol.

2. ) I'm sure more than a few of us have absolutely 0 idea what half of these UW augs truly do.

Which brings me to the actual suggestion:

One of the coolest features about Ultimate Weapons is how you can hand the bow into the guy in the crafter guild and it turns it into a dagger.. Turn it back in and he gives you the long sword.. etc..

Could we potentially get one of these for the UW augs? Like i said I'm no programmer and dont know if it'd be more trouble that its worth..

But it would be superfun to try out Ult Protection one day, laugh at a lifetapping monk the next, give your paladin hatestomp and see if  he can survive a t9 pull, play around with warrior thorns.

The buzz berries are a big time investment, it'd be kinda fun to be able to swap  augs around if we've already grinded the 950 berries.

If its even possible. Smiley And obviously it'd be something way, way low on the post t10/halloween priority tree.

Just wait for rymo to get Rank IV of all of them and post what they do  Grin I'd much rather have the Essence Trader code re-used to attain different skins of your current Ult Weapon rank! Buahahaha I teased hate about that a while ago... I think way way back I teased hunter about just changing the colors of the Ult Weapons every 3 ranks or so, but he said no  Cry

Did some quick testing, and found it starts in T6 with the bosses. It gives the message "Your target is immune to changes in its run speed", and the boss does not take damage from the initial cast, nor any ticks of the dot. If you need a complete list that will take a bit more time, but let me know.

Good posts! I use my druid in my raid of 18 and don't wanna give him up. I hotkeyed his epic in with others that have epic clickies and always wondered if the dot was effective if the mobs were immune to snare. I use to have my druid up there meleeing with an icestrike but decided to keep him back with casters casting a dot with the Necro, clicking epic with the other Epic clickies, and a nuke when I nuke with the casters...all the while refreshing regen and Drakeskin on tank.

As far as the post on clerics.. I would like to point out that they are underhealers verses pallies with their AoE spells they get. Word of Viv II vs Crabtwoshoes Will heal you too! I took a UCv2 pally and cleric and cast those spells and the pally healed the group a lot more than the cleric. Cast the spells simultaneously several times and the results were always the same regardless of spell crit or exceptional heal landing. Base healing for Crabtwoshoes is 50k.. Word of Viv II is only 20k - 21k base. Pallies alone with their heal procs on the weapons could be reason enough to ditch the cleric as the primary healer in groups and raids but even having them cast a group heal still has the cleric coming up short. Maybe time to add a Word of Viv III?

Rangers...hmm.. I remember when both the Druids and Rangers had Vinegrasp on their epics. Not really sure about trickshot because I don't use a ranger much and when I do.. I would have thought it better to just equip them with 2 Ninjastrike XIs and have them go to town meleeing rather than standing back trying to shoot a bow.

Again.. great post though and like to see the data and stats others find. Keep it up!

Pally casted heals have a veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy long cooldown. Unfair to compare that to viv which is why I didn't  Cool

The snare component has been removed from the Vine Grasp cast. I will add it back as a scripted effect. :-)
