I asked this in the post monster that is EZ Augment Changes! so it might of gotten over looked.

Is there any plans to change the 4 slot and 8 slot augs on pre-t7 weapons, to bring them more in line with the current aug system for everything else in game?

I'm going to guess that is a no, as there are a large number of weapon augs designed to go in those slots

Actually yes, that is for this weekend. I'll give a 12h window to remove them given that augs are HUGELY expensive. That is part two of bringing the game's augmentation system to something significantly more uniform. :-)

Hate I can't be on much at all this week or weekend. Can you give decent warning on forum? Or could you remove the augs but put in inventory or bank or something?
Also don't forget Tse whip with aug slot 8

Yes, nothing will change in that respect. Just shaving off extra slots to make everything similar to T7+. As warped as it may sound, it's going to be easier to leave them as is. The first slot was shaved from gear due to it being a weird/useless type. It would have been much harder to remove the third slot on armor and get people to rotate every single aug out than it would've been the way it was handled.

At this point, you can unslot if you want to do so. Only slots 2-4 are being affected on weapons pre-T7. Yes this a lot of augs, but had something planned to make up the losses...but clearly that went to shit. So..yeah...no free hands out with this change.

Relax, reducing the aug slots is cool. Less to manage Smiley look at the simplicity of managing 2 ninja aug t7 plus vs 2 ninja and 4 ice.

I'm sure these two questions are going to Kick this thread into over drive like the last augment change thread but here it goes anyways.

This is just speculation but from what i see in my mind the way of Augs, is on armor you have a single hp aug and a random slot aug (resist or threat reduction). Weapons will have a single aug less UW's.

Question one is with this change are is the overall cost of strike augs going to be evaluated? This just my opinion but the Mana Necklace cost vs effectiveness has a very nice synergy.

Question two what are your thoughts on the 2handed weapon classes (paly/zerker)? One aug double the effect or you have another plan in mind?

someone break this down barney style for me here

so as it stands right now

T9 1h weapons have (1) slot 2, type 22 proc augment, ie 1 NSXI
T9 2h weapons have (2) slots, (1) slot 2, type 22 and (1) slot 3, type 22

SO, with that said, do we need to remove the augs on the 2h, which one, what?

and with the 1h, what happens there? anything? nothing?

cause I don't want to be the jackhole that loses 80mil plat on this deal

I believe that the majority of the changes are going to be made to all pre-T7 weapons, now as for T7 and higher 2handed weapons that's in Hateborne's hands. The issue is with only the RoF client you would be unable to socket a 2hander with dual FS augs.

Since I have a few pre-T7 melee chars I will be removing their augs over this weekend to be on the safe side.

I've had 2 FSXI's in my 2h T9 weapons for who knows how long

so I should remove one?
