So my main (monk) has his 2.0 and decent gear, and I'm able to marginally play a second character on my computer. I'm looking for help deciding on some classes that I can use to help myself out.

Keep in mind I'll probably not get higher than 2.5 as I don't like asking guildies for help farming epics for my bots/alts. Also keep in mind the monk is far from uber, and I won't be "easily" getting a 3.0 on any of my characters. I'm thinking 2.0 in the short term is the highest I'll get. In part because I don't want to spend days farming FG/CG stuff for extra characters in order to start being viable helper classes.

I don't want to level one of everything to 70 and farm 2.0s on all of them, so I'm trying to minimize additional class choices.

1) Something to go with the monk so I can solo stuff. Pretty sure shammy or cleric is the way to go on that front. But I was thinking of a druid for further reasons below.
2) Something to PL alts/RoA (druid for damage shield, regen, etc.)
3) Something for farming epic drops for other characters.

The way I'm using my 3 accounts is 1 = Tank-types (Monk and warrior), 2 = Healer types (Druid, Shammy), 3 = DPS-types (Mage, Zerker)

Will my monk be a viable epic-farmer past 1.5s? Or should I focus on my warrior with the druid to heal him? Will a 1.0 Warrior be able to duo his 1.5s with a healer (preferably druid) if said healer has their 2.0 already?

So anyway, there's my though processes laid out kinda. Here are my current 2-box thoughts.

- Monk + Druid to progress them without requiring much begging for help. (Druid due to PL-ability for future alts.)
- Monk + Shaman instead maybe? Just seems that the PLing will be slower without a DS for the first 36 levels.
- After Druid is 2.0'd, PL either a Warrior or Mage for future soloing of epic stuff for other alts. Thoughts on both? Is Mage the better choice because Warrior isn't "uber" without a ton of work past 2.0s? How is Mage 2.0 without CG?

Like I said, I can't box more than 2, and want single characters that can help new/RoA/epic-needing characters significantly.

I'm willing to do FG/CG on the solo epic-farmer (warrior/mage) but would like to save FG/CG for one additional character only. (I still need King cards for my Monk's FG, after all...)

Thanks!

With the new Paladin boost, it would almost be worth making a Paladin + Monk combo for 2 boxing. Got heals and tanking in one character, and DPS in the Monk.

Also

The way I'm using my 3 accounts is 1 = Tank-types (Monk and warrior), 2 = Healer types (Druid, Shammy), 3 = DPS-types (Mage, Zerker)

Will my monk be a viable epic-farmer past 1.5s? Or should I focus on my warrior with the druid to heal him? Will a 1.0 Warrior be able to duo his 1.5s with a healer (preferably druid) if said healer has their 2.0 already?

A monk solo can farm 1.5 and 2.0 pretty easily, but they have to be decently geared, as any other character. A warrior isnt very good until he gets his 3.0s and anger augs... Same for Monks. You have to work towards your 3.0 weapons.

However, its not as hard as you may think. 1.5 and 2.0 are honestly the hardest out of the 4 (5 really) epic upgrades. 2.5 is breaking barrels, and 3.0 is one mob that i'll kill for you if you send a tell.

===

Anyway, as i was saying. Paladin and Monk (3.0'd) would be a good 2 box combo imo. If you ever decide to work on charms and stuff, someone mentioned in another thread how much healing power came from a paladin with Oracle charm. That paired with Monk natural DPS is a good combo

Hrm I hadn't considered a Paladin... I may try that.

I need to farm Qvic tokens to get access to the 3.0 still. I dabbled there with some guildies the other night, but I was just along for the fun and/or rot gear Tongue Tokens were all spoken for.

I agree, that Pally Monk combo sounds pretty good once they both get 2.5+ w/FG. While monks do not get taunt, the monk epic gives tons of agro. So if your pally starts getting low on health, pop off the monk epic and the monk will steal agro till the pally epic procs a heal. In contrast, the monk can FD if he gets too much agro. Perhaps the perfect tanking team. Monk for single pulls and DPS, pally for shared tanking and heals.

However, its not as hard as you may think. 1.5 and 2.0 are honestly the hardest out of the 4 (5 really) epic upgrades. 2.5 is breaking barrels, and 3.0 is one mob that i'll kill for you if you send a tell.

Don't forget the qvic tokens. 15 bosses on 30m timers in qvic, which are actual raid level bosses if you don't have tacvi or better gear. Getting help with TT is the easy part.

If I do end up in PoD it'll be with guildies. I have no real desire to multibox all the content in the game. I have trouble running my main with an alt getting PLed in the background, let alone actively playing three. Just a hardware thing, not a mental one. At most I can handle combat with 2.

Anyway, got my pally up to 70 last night, gonna start in on his epics now. Appreciate all the advice. Just judging from how he was doing when I was soloing him the first 46 levels, feels like it'll be a good duo to play with others.

Especially if I get around to getting a new computer that can handle 3 at a time.

I set this up today. It was GREAT to see all those old school toon graphics. Especially the original "Earth Pet" and those lovely female wood elves before they all got so ugly. Took me back to my 1999 days on live.

He plays with old graphics so he can see dark elf females in ass chaps.
