I was thinking about double loot weekend and i began to think.

What if instances had this option already? What if it costed 100k, 200k?

A massive price for a massive reward. However i dunno if this is even possible unless the normal zone is edited, cuz its just a copy it makes. But this idea came to me, an even better way to get the plat filtered out.

What you think!

This poll is just for fun, maybe a good idea down the road.

Editing loot tables requires a server restart.  It's not something that can be done on the fly.

Not always true, some editing you can do on the fly, some you can not.

I said no...

Then those special Double Loot days wouldn't be so special anymore - or make people wig out when they think one is coming.  Grin

I would have to say no as well.  Double loot weekend just wouldn't be double loot weekend anymore. Sad  I like it's rarity.

In all my experience loot tables are one of those you cannot.

If you zone out and then back into the zone in question then yes loot tables can be done on the fly. Changes to the items themselves require a reboot however (stats etc)

That assumes the zone isn't static.  But if that's the case you can just reboot the zone.

Good info.

Aye, but i figured that was a given lol. But yes if the zone is static or there is someone in it still you'll have to get them out and bring the zone down manually

why edit the zone on the fly?  Why not put in a seperate version of the zone like postormsb which is always double drop but only accessible from the waypoint npc?
