We don't know how much RAM you have?

A RAM upgrade also depends on how much you box and the simple question of do you NEED more RAM?

If you already have 12 GB of RAM, then I suggest doubling that to 24 GB of RAM, just to be safe.

Well the machine currently has 3gb ram and can hold up to 8.  Id like to eventually afford 8 but its costly and almost as much as the SSD that crab linked.  Id like to box 12 to tell you the truth since I am able to box 6 now on my laptop, it would be kinda cool to do 12 on this new desktop.

I put a Corsair F40 SSD in my new PC (i7 950, 6Gb ram, etc etc..) it's really nice, though honestly didn't notice a huge speed up in loading times, and I had to move most of my games and crap, steam etc... to the other HD (1TB) because there wasn't a lot of room..

the best thing is it resumes from standby in literally 5 seconds... no joke the monitor isn't even finished warming up.. and I can still hear the HDD spinning up... from a cold boot Windows 7 is about 30 seconds maybe bit less.. plus things like virus scan and installing new programs go very fast..

if I had to do over I'd get the 60 or 80GB though since there's only about 11 GB free after installing Windows lol... like I said, had to move all my games (like 30 GB worth) to the other HDD but didn't really notice a huge increase in loading times with EQ or like Fallout New Veags so ... still worth it, the F40 was only $100
