Seems me and a significant amount of others are seeing a big change in drop rates for FG and CG items.  7 hours in line at KD spawn, 20+ spawns for the shiny brass shield, 20 PH's for Ghoul Lord.

Either were experiencing a massive amount of bad luck, or something has changed.

I farmed my own guk instane for 5 hours last night.

I had a bit of bad luck but nothing that i wouldnt just attribute to bad luck and the RNG.

I had really good luck in getting the named frenzied to spawn but

Out of 9 frenzied's I got 1 FBSS.

Took me ~16 hours in an instance to get 3-5 of every item except the supplier bag which I wasn't camping full-time.  I would have been done long before that if I had any frenzied spawn at all.  The fbss and Ykesha were the ones that took the most time, but at the end I got 3 fbss in a row and left once I had 2 Ykesha.

This may not be the perfect place for this type of question but Why do people farm (or pay large amounts of plat) for vanilla EQ items?

I see it a lot in /ooc where people pay a large amount of plat for an item that isn't nearly as good as something that drops from the custom zones.

Maybe I'm missing something about these items?

Ahhhhh.  That makes a LOT of sense now.

Funny thing is I used to work my BUTT off to try and get to the last guy in Unrest for the DWB on life with my 45 paladin (mostly in bronze armor).

So I get my SK to a manageable level and decide to walk into that place for old times sake and guess what?  The boots drop on the first kill!

TY for the link!
