So just wondering if there's gonna be anything special for Christmas weekend? Like a event or double loots *wink wink*. Would be great for us that don't have much to do besides sit around. Just wondering cause i wasn't here last year for it and loved halloween event.

I think he's adding "a lump of coal" as loot to replace all drops...

Note: I'll update this original post as the weekend goes on if I do more updates, stead of making new topics for Christmas.

- Free Credits for everyone! Limit one toon per account. See Christmas_Gift NPC in Nexus for details.

- In 3 hours from this post will be our 6am auto reboot, and it'll start our Double Drop Event for Dec 24th and 25th. May or may not run into Dec 26th.

- Epic 3.5 and 4.0 Books are reduced down to 75 credits each. I haven't decided if the prices will go back up after Christmas or stay the same.

- Shadow now has 50% chance instead of 66% chance of doing a Shadow Step. Still need some time to create the limit to 2 max shadow steps before he doesn't shadow step anymore. But with the 50% chance, he should shadow step too many times unless the RNG really hates you.

This was last year's christmas stuff. Whether he intends on doing the same thing or not is anyone's guess. I know I'll be grateful for just about anything ! (Though I do hope the double drop stuff extends a few days past the 24th and 25th if he goes that route, as I know the server will be a ghost town with everyone spending time with families on Christmas Eve/Day)

I'd sacrifice all of it to drop another 16% off of Shadows % of shadowstepping... or hell, i did see him mention 2 max up there, too..

Regardless, tis the season for fun, and this server is certainly that. Anything extra coming our way is icing on the cake. Smiley

Well yeah, the shadow thing would be cool, but you have to remember that hes trying to be Santa Hunter to everyone, not just the select few that can kill a single boss =)

Double loot?  I don't know.... I'd feel really guilty spending my Christmas weekend in Velks farming gems, but OTOH, I could actually raise enough funds to put a VI aug or two on my main!  Cheesy

DL would be nice, but those events really trash the economy.  Perhaps a useful item, like maybe a 'summon vendor' item with a 20 hour cool down....

20 hour cool down on a summon vendor would suck, but a good idea. I like the idea of getting a keycode of sort. Would love to upgrade my roa  Grin

After workin so hard on the t6 stuff, personally, I think he should just flip the switch to turn on what he did last year (figuratively, yes I know its more than that), and take his well deserved break.

I'd say something simple like on Christmas Day we hail a Santa NPC and get a stockign with one V aug and some other shitty stuff like alcohol and chocolates.  Sounds good to me! Tongue

lol @ 'trash the economy'. That ship has sailed. Wink

Maybe just a halloween type event with Candy Canes + Xmas candy turn ins, but in snowy zones instead of 'scary ones'? Smiley

Velks, Permafrost, Kael area, Dreadlands, Everfrost, Iceclad.. etc.. just a thought. (ya it'd be annoying to program all of that last minute obv, maybe next year.)
