I personally dont see an issue with "op" augs on lower tier characters. If they really have a huge need to burn through content most of them will probably quit in t5. The faster they can get there the faster we can get the bandwidth back. That being I dont think too many people would be upset if they were limited by epic level.

Even after the plat wipe, there are still top 100 players with between 5-68 million plat each.

Well i for one have no augs yet but been enjoying getting ready for T3/4 . Just saddened that there are some female dogs that got greedy and hurt a fun server

but im sure I could have a SOA on someone! that is if I can buy the essences lol
a clean slate is always a good thing when you notice the balance is way out of wack though
good move Hunter, and looking forward to seeing some constructive ideas come out of this on needed changes so it doesn't happen again

Best way to prevent duping in the future is making everything no drop lore but that would suck.
For now we did some cleaning up and fixed some of the dupe exploits.
Essence and Augs might be tradeable again soon, but might need to redo the recipes and aug slots first.

The players that got wiped were either obviously cheating or part of a guild.
If anyone in this group that isn't banned lost a Reward Item in their bags that got deleted, then let me know and I'll reimburse that depending who the person is. Anyone claiming that they lost a reward item that didn't have one to begin with will get banned for wasting my time. To get the reimbursement, I will be doing this manually in game, no cd keys.
Server coming up soon. Can't think of anything else to wipe for now.

I think that a list of the toons that were banned would be a good thing. It would let the server know who the bad guys were, and public humiliation would be a good deterrent for people planning similar exploits.

There are a total of 168 people on the list. A lot of them probably alts and such.
Some got banned, and they all got plat wipe and most of their inventory wiped.
The ones that didn't get banned may end up quitting after this which is fine.
Again, I am willing to reimburse certain reward items to certain players based on what the logs show that the player got from the Rewards NPC but would have to reimburse in person.
Server is up and unlocked now. Will see how bad they complain soon here.

If I start changing the Epic Weapons aug slot types, and the strike aug slot types, then players might not be able to remove their augs before upgrading their Epic weapon, and then would lose their augment.
How else could we make augments work on specific epics without anyone losing their augs later?
Need to find a way to do this before I make strike augs and essences tradeable again.

Probably not, would need to try it on a test server.
That would be the issue. If a player can't take out the aug, then it would be lost when upgrading your Epic.

This may be a good time convert to new style 1 aug slot epics. We could just hand in the epic for the new version or something. Or maybe not, just an idea. Good work though Hunter

change current epics to crappy stats, people clear the augs out and can hand in old 4.5 for new improved 4.5 with limited augs. Kinda leave it to their choice; awesome augs with a crappy weapon or better weapon and still good augs?

Turn all the existing epics into weapons that have no stats. Same with the augs. People can then de-aug their epics and turn them in for the new epic with correct stats. Same thing with augs.
