Working. I like it better too, more servers and it shows how many on.
It also means people without Titan/SoF can login and create a new account without having to beg someone to do it for them (like I did..)

So I assume this means the Steam install doesn't come prepatched to the live servers and acts just like a clean install from CDs? And what do you mean by copy the directory out of the steamapps folder? Thanks in advance, I'm thinking of setting up with SoD so I just want to make sure I don't screw it up.

That is correct. As long as you don't launch it without changing the login server / "patchme" so it doesn't connect to the patch sever, it will work.
You don't actually need to copy it out of the steamapps folder, but it's probably safer if you do. Steam *will* update games, though I don't know if it will do that for EQ. (Probably not, is my guess.)

Oh I see, you mean just move it somewhere else after it is downloaded. That makes sense.

Has anyone else had a problem using the Paladin ability Lay on Hands? I just upgraded to the SoD client and found I had to use the AA window to train in the ability to be able to Hotkey it. I trained in it once to get the ability and saw that you can train in it again up to 17 times. Thinking that maybe it gets better if you train in it multiple times like Live I trained 2 AA points into it but now clicking the LoH button doesn't do anything for me. Does LoH not work in SoD or did training the AA points into it mess mine up?
Thanks, Amerzel

Lay hands is a skill, the AA lay hands is not working. You can still find lay hands, in the skills pages in actions.

I don't see it in my Actions -> Abilities page. Is that the one you are talking about? I have 6 open actions able to be hotkeyed and my list is:
Bind Wound Bash Sense Heading Fishing Begging Taunt Remove Trap Inspect Open
Is it possible a custom UI is hiding it?

I don't have LoH either. I don't use a custom UI.

Are you a Paladin using the SoD client? Does the AA version of LoH ever work for you?
Thanks, Amerzel

Make sure you're using port 5999
[LoginServer] Host=eqemulator.net:5999

Actually that sounds like the problem I had before the login server supported SoD. Make sure you're using the correct LS (see above).

Thank you Thank you. For some reason I had login.eqemulator.net instead of just eqemulator.net changed that and now it works.
